My Success Stories

Untitled design (31) Strategic Planning

At Aerotek, as the Senior Program / Project Manager, I managed the transfer of five product lines from Branan Medical Corp in Irvine to Alere Inc. in San Diego. I oversaw a $3.2 million technology transfer program by coordinating with managers and core team member from both sites to develop an aggressive transfer schedule, set project goals, identified potential risk, quality requirement, and financial goals. Here I also completed projects on time and on budget-set the company in the path of achieving $1.1 million in annual savings. The company needed to build out an additional 2nd floor to accommodate the extra resources, R&D lab, and drug assay storage. Therefore, I worked with architects, general contractors, operations and facility engineering and city administrators from conceptual to completion. In the end we successfully completed the build-out of the additional 2nd floor right on schedule and 5K under the budget.

As the Program / Project Manager at Selective Source International I was accountable for a $500,000 budget for technology transfer of nine PCBAs from USA to China. I assembled cross functional teams from both countries, organized the China team to come over to the US and perform an engineering exchange of information, risk and strategy documentations. I conducted three conference calls with the China team weekly to ensure project schedule were tracking, materials were available for prototype builds, and the supplier quality agreements were reviewed and implemented. The IQ, OQ, PQ, and PV runs were completed and the company realized a calculated annual saving of $2.7 million. I then needed to coordinate a PV run at both the Mexico and US manufacturing facilities. So I assembled teams from both USA and Mexico manufacturing sites, defined qualification requirement, planned out project sequence, resources, and worked with both teams to implement plan. In the end I achieved successful PV runs and the system got qualified to ship with cost reduced components.
